Legalization of Documents
1. Authentification/Certification of Signatures: Authentication/certification of signatures of individuals in documents (Affidavits, Declarations, Power of Attorneys etc) is done at the High Commission. Individuals signing the documents must personally appear at the High Commission in order to sign the document before the Consular Officer. Such individuals must carry with them their valid passports and national identity cards (Aadhar etc.) along with their copies. It is noted the Consular Section of the High Commission does not have the facility to draw up Power of Attorneys. Fee: .................. Euro per certification of signature, which is to be paid in cash in the equivalent local currency. It is informed that the Consular Officer of the High Commission authenticates only the signatures placed on documents before him and does not take responsibility for the contents of the documents. 2. Certification of documents verified/attested by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the countries of accreditation/ parallel accreditation: i) Documents originating from India and attested(Apostille) by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India with an Apostille sticker, do not require to be legalized by the Consular Section of the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in New Delhi, considering that both Cyprus and India have ratified the 1961 Hague Convention that abolishes the requirement of consular certification of public documents.

Consulates of the Republic of Cyprus in the said countries. iii) Documents originating from Malaysia, Myanmar and Maldives may be submitted to the Consular Section of the High Commission. Fee: 1,71 Euro per certification, which is to be paid in cash in the equivalent local currency. 3. Certification of documents originating from the Republic of Cyprus Documents originating from the Republic of Cyprus and to be presented in India or countries of High Commission's parallel accreditation should first be attested by the Competent Cypriot Authorities followed by the attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. After completion of the above process, these documents should further be certified by the Diplomatic and Consular Missions or Honorary Consuls/Honorary Consul Generals of the countries of High Commission's accreditation/parallel accreditation that are accredited to the Republic of Cyprus. It is noted that the High Commission of Cyprus in New Delhi does not deal with these services.
